Grassy Lake Forest Preserve of Lake Barrington

The predominant yellow flower is a Tall Swamp Marigold, which was a remnant after a controlled burn. It really blossomed this summer creating an concentrated area of yellow. Other less vibrant yellow is a common Goldenrod. Interspersed blue flowers are Swamp or Bog Asters. Image by Jeff Chemelewski
